Women’s Legislative Agenda
The Alliance for Women’s Economic Empowerment in the Republic of Moldova advocates all actions and measures referred to in the policy documents and programmes supporting women’s entrepreneurship. At the same time, the Alliance has identified and will promote further a number of priorities targeting the business area and gender equality with the aim to reduce the barriers impeding the Moldovan women to enjoy equal opportunities and rights.
The immediate advocacy priorities adopted and approved by its members and proposed policy recommendations are contained by Women’s Legislative Agenda, developed by the Alliance. Further, the list of priorities may be updated with other topics that fall under mission of the Alliance upon members’ proposal and by the decision of the majority.
5 Priority Areas of the Alliance for Women’s Economic Empowerment
Tax incentives for business which creates palliative services, eldercare, disability care, and summer care for school-age children.
Tax incentives for business which creates early childhood education (nursery schools and kindergartens), nursery school vouchers, kindergarten vouchers.
Short-term tax incentives for microenterprises affected by energy crisis, post-pandemic crisis and war crisis.
Raising awareness campaigns on combating harassment in the workplace.
Raising awareness campaigns on combating discrimination in the workplace.
The organization that wants to become a member of the Alliance should submit a written request. Additionally, the organization shall submit a short bio or the CV of the organization. All the documents must be submitted via email: [email protected] The Alliance will decide by majority vote on the accession of the new member. The organization will be notified of the decision by email.
