The Alliance for Women’s Economic Empowerment in the Republic of Moldova was launched on 25 July 2022 aiming to promote the mitigation of gender inequalities in the area of entrepreneurship and on the labour market. The Alliance is an apolitical and informal network of public associations.
Mission of the Alliance for Women’s Economic Empowerment in Republic of Moldova is to contribute to reducing the barriers to the development and economic empowerment of women from the Republic of Moldova.
The Alliance contributes to advocating for a number of priorities targeting the business area and gender equality with the aim to reduce the barriers impeding the Moldovan women to enjoy equal opportunities and rights. The priorities and solutions are included in the Women’s Legislative Agenda developed by the Alliance

WAGE Moldova
Reducing Barriers to Women’s Economic Empowerment in Moldova is a multi-disciplinary program aimed at building and supporting an alliance of women’s organizations to improve the enabling environment for Moldovan women engaged in economic activity. The program was launched in October 2020, and implemented by WAGE consortium, in partnership with CIPE and ABA ROLI.
To strengthen the organizational capacities of women business associations (WBAs) and women’s empowerment organizations (WCSOs) to represent and provide services to Moldovan women.
To foster collective action among WBAs and WCSOs to address legal framework implementation gaps and societal barriers to women's economic empowerment.
WAGE vision is a world in which women and girls enjoy equality, freedom from violence and poverty, and meaningful inclusion in the processes that shape their communities, nations, and international affairs.

The organization that wants to become a member of the Alliance should submit a written request. Additionally, the organization shall submit a short bio or the CV of the organization. All the documents must be submitted via email: [email protected] The Alliance will decide by majority vote on the accession of the new member. The organization will be notified of the decision by email.
